Roses Are Red

I wanna see things through her eyes
What is it that sinks in her mind?
I wonder what they say to her all the time
I wonder what demons she hides

Are they wicked and vile?
Are they broken and wild?
Does she try to forget about them?
To be here in denial
Consequentially at all the miles

She can't forget, she can't forget to smile
She can't forget, she can't forget to smile

I wish that they'd see through my eyes
And watch what they say to that mind
When the look on her face says she's fine
Do they wonder what demons she hides?

'Cause they're wicked and vile
Oh, they're broken and wild
Does she try to forget about them?
To be here in denial
Consequentially at all the miles
She can't forget, she can't forget to smile
Heaven forbid she smiles

But I turned back around and I noticed
That her eyes were red, the shade of roses
Oh, I turned back around and I know this
That her eyes were red, the shade of roses
Roses, rose

Oh, they don't understand you
No, they don't understand you
Oh, they don't understand you
No, they don't understand you
'Cause they only desert you
No, they just don't deserve you
'Cause they only desert you
No, they just don't deserve you
You, you
You
